Grunge Birthday Card for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L And Autumnal Musings

Hello everyone on this beautiful Sunday! First of all I'd like to say a big 'thank you' for all the lovely comments on my dazzling autumnal wreath post. Blimey, I can't believe it's autumn already, where did the summer go???

Mind you, yesterday was so sunny and warm that Hubster and I decided to have the last BBQ of the year. And it was lovely. As it starts getting dark quite quickly now, we lit up our lanterns and tea lights in the garden and ended up having a proper candle-lit dinner :). I don't think I've ever had a BBQ in the autumn and this barby was definitely my favourite one this year. It almost felt like being on holiday again! Our cat Kropek didn't seem that impressed, though lol:).

Today over at Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L's blog I'm sharing a tutorial for this grunge birthday card I made for my Hubster. I would be delighted if you found a moment to see my tutorial here.

I've gone for a vintage grunge look for this masculine card. Lots of stamping, distressing and inking - just what I like!

As you can check all the details on my tutorial post, I will only list the supplies here.

Other supplies:

Stampendous stamps - Grunge Birthday, Imagination, Journal Lines, Charmed Art; Cinnamon Micro Glitter

Tim Holtz Lost and Found paper pack, Bazzill Basics cardstock

Inks: Coffee Archival, Frayed Burlap Distress Ink, Peeled Paint Distress Stain

I hope you enjoyed today's post and my autumnal musings :). Thanks for stopping by and for your wonderful comments. Happy Sunday!

Big crafty hugs

Love this card with the distressing, and all the layers, and particularly the great quote!! A kind of "left brain, right brain" thing - actually we need both lol!

Thanks for your lovely comment, Asia! I am so glad you like the card I made. Actually, my aunt is very pleased to have moved into residential care as she had been living a long way from any family, on her own since my uncle died, and not coping too well. She is delighted to be near her daughter, and having lots of people to talk to, and being well looked after. Mum says she settled in straight away and is already very happy, so this is a huge relief for us all, as so often this is not the case when people have to give up their own home.

Have a great week! I love your work.
