This week at the Sentimental Sundays it’s "all about you ;) and your favourite sentiment".
As always, there is a fabulous set of digital sentiments for grabs. Feel free to also browse the sentiments designed by Raindrop Echo Designs at the Whimsy Stamps. And make sure you check all DT creations as the girls have really created some amazing art this week to tell us a little bit more about themselves.
I would love to see you joining us this week!
I had to think for quite a long time what would be the best example to say all (or at least quite a lot!) about me in one short sentiment. And what a better way to express myself, to do something just for myself, than through art journaling. Especially, that being so busy lately with cards, I haven’t had time to “treat” myself just for the pure joy of crafting…;)
I was first introduced to art journaling by an amazing lady, Sarah Anderson during a workshop at the Stamp Attic in Wantage. In fact, if you are falling asleep reading this post, she is the one to blame as she introduced me to the world of crafty blogging! lol ;)
Here are a couple of piccies from the previous workshops.

These sessions are a really fab way to pick up some new techniques, which is worth a fortune, especially for such a beginner crafter as myself. And I mean it quite literally! I always end up leaving a fortune behind at Wendy’s Stamp Attic as there are LOADS of yummy stuff in there rofl ;-).
But this is also a great way to make new friends (hugs & kisses for the girls!). I am really looking forward to the workshops I am attending on the 26th and 27th June. Have a look in here to see what workshops are currently available and maybe I will see you there, too!
And if you want to keep track with all new goodies at Wendy’s shop, pop in to Wendy’s blog. Wendy also sometimes features some amazing artists, like the one here ;-) --> “me” lol ;)
(I only mention this because this post is meant to be about me, otherwise I wouldn’t dare to boast about myself ROFL hahaha!).
Now, onto my creation for this Sentimental week.
This journal page really sums it all up ;). I started paper crafting less than a year ago but I could not stop ever since! Crafting gives me a lot of joy. When I get a new idea buzzing in my head, or if I get some new crafty stuff, I get so excited that it’s almost like having butterflies in your tummy lol! ;-) I just wished there were more hours in a day as it’s often hard to juggle time between all the things that make me happy (my wonderful hubby, my cat, my crafties, friends etc.) and the boring chores of the daily life…;-P
The butterflies flying off my page are a mixture of stamps, stickers and punched little cuties. The bike stamp and the flowers in the baskets are Flowersoft. The sentiment I used is of course by Raindrop Echo. And the riot of colours is the courtesy or Mr T Holtz and his distress inks. I have used a variety of techniques here, colouring using a blending tool, paint brush and water mister, stamping with distress inks, some accents with a Cosmic Shimmer and my first ever (and a bit clumsy unfortunately) attempt of water stamping ;).
I just love the summery feel about this page which really perfectly illustrates how I feel when I’m crafting!
I hope you’ve enjoyed this little journey to my crafty side…;-)
