Sentimental encouragement #9

Welcome to the new Sentimental Challenge #9. The challenge will be going live in just a few hours ;).

This week we encourage you to create encouragement and support projects ;-) As always there is a fantastic FREE set of digital sentiments for grabs and you can also get some more cool sentiments here.

I hope you can join us this week, it’s really easy. Just create a project (card, layout, tag, anything!) that will match the theme, use a sentiment on your project and Bob’s your uncle! And check out all DT’s creations, the girls have made some outstanding cards this week!
And here’s my entry for this week.

I created this tag during yesterday’s workshop at the Stamp Attic, Art Journaling 3 with Sarah Anderson. One of the things we tried was to create a tag and choose a topic to make a list of "somethings" (an idea nicked from Penny’s journal lol!), i.e. favourite way to chill out, favourite ad, 10 places to visit before you die or best words of encouragement ;).Then we passed our tags around the table and we added one thing to each other’s tags. How “interactive” was that! ;).

On my tag it reads:
1. What is the worst thing that can happen? (It’s not usually that bad!)
2. Never look back
3. Shift your **** flower (I had some minor concerns that the vocabulary used here may not be totally suitable for publication lol :) so I covered it with a flower)
4. Good job!
5. Did you do that?!!
6. Wow
7. That’s fantastic
8. Well…
9. Oh I love it!
10. Your VISION will become clear only when you look into your HEART (mine)

The workshop kicked off with little books that we can add to our journals. To create one you first need to colour your page on both sides (we used Colourwashes, stencils, masks, my fav sequin waste and paint dabbers. Then you magically fold it and tear it to create a pair of trousers ;).

Then we decorated some envelopes to accommodate our little books ;-).

And here’s the best tip in art journaling. Don’t throw anything! I've kept my overspray sheet which I've already used to punch out some flowers for my tag. Who knows what else I will be able to use it for? Another small book or journal page maybe? ;-)

Ps. I have been recently asked how I frame my photographs. Here's the answer - Paint Shop Pro does it for me lol ;-)

Hope you're having a good weekend! ;-)
