Time for another Sentimental Sundays Challenge #7! And guess what?! We’re getting ready for the summer! ;-). Woo hoooo!
As always, there is a fabulous set of digital sentiments for grabs. This week’s ones are definitely my favourites! Anything ordering me to have dessert must be a favourite lol ;-) But I will say no more. You’ll have to see for yourself!
Feel free to also browse the sentiments designed by Raindrop Echo Designs at the Whimsy Stamps. Using the sentiments is not obligatory for the challenge, but it’s great fun! ;-).
This is what I made for this week’s challenge. It’s for one of my nieces’ birthday.
I used the sketch from One Stop Craft Challenge #84.
The image is from the cutest stamps set ever, the Penny Black 'Toadily' stamp set. I recently won this set from a Saturday candy at Passion for Crafts. Make sure you have a peek as Debbie’s blog is absolutely beautiful and she has regular fantastic giveaways ;-))).
Isn’t that super happy toadie a summer cutie? I can just hear the bees and other sweetie bugs buzzing along nicely and can almost smell the summer flowers! Awww… I coloured the image with watercolour pencils and I added some Flowersoft in the centre for texture and more of a yummy feel ;-)
The main image is cut and framed using Nesties, the second label also treated with swirly Cuttlebug embossing folder. The cute ladybird was cut using MM Slice, design card 2. All decorated with sparkly Stickles. The sentiment is finished with a corner embossing/punch.
As always, don’t forget to have a look at all the DT’s fabulous creations!
