Szczęśliwe chwile to motyle...

My blogging friend Ruby often says on her blog “this is just a quick card that I would like to share with you today”. Oh how I wish that I could just make quick cards! Mine take AGES!!! Oh well…;-)

So, just a not-so-quick card that I would like to share with you today ;).

Szczęśliwe chwile to motyle... These are lyrics to one of my favourite Polish songs by Maanam, which means “happy moments are like butterflies”. There you go, that’s your Polish lesson no. 1 lol ;)

This card is for one of my brothers-in-law. I again challenged myself with a masculine card ;).

I based, somehow liberally lol ;), my card of the Midnight Madness sketch #59.

For the clock I used my brand spankin’ new stamps that I got…. guess where? Yep, you got it right, at the Stamp Attic, during my last weekend's workshop bonanza (which I will tell you all about later this week!). I can’t remember the name and the manufacturer at the moment, I’m rubbish with remembering that kind of stuff. But if you’d like to me check this for you, let me know and I will ;-).

The “hangy” bit was stamped on acetate to give it a glossy, “hangy/floaty” feel. The lovely sentiment is of course by Raindrop Echo. Pop in here to browse the lovely range of Ann’s sentiments.

In the bottom right corner I sneaked in a pair of vintage butterflies to compliment the sentiment. As this is a "boyz" card, I didn’t want it to look too girly with the butterflies too much on display lol). I tried to follow Ruby’s and Tink’s ribbon idea but my version is somewhat different from the experts’. Well, I am just going to maintain the view that it was carefully designed and meant this way ROFL!

A lot of distress ink later, all was screwed into place with my fav ever screw brads (just LOOOOVE them!).... et voilà!

Challenges for this card:
Midnight Madness #59 – sketch
Gingersnap Creations #58 Spicy Supply Challenge – Transparencies
Challenge Up Your Life #23 - Vintage
Crafty Cardmakers #24 - Inky Fingers

Happy Monday everyone!

Joanna, I have noticed there are lots of stamps and tools that help you to create with a time theme. I am so intrigued with that as I think it looks fabulous on a card. I love the way you have used this theme in this fabulous creation. It is captivating and certainly awesome. Great job with the sketch. Thanks so much for playing along with us at the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge this week.

This is wonderful... I love it! That stamp is great! I have to agree with you, It take me forever to make a card..
There is a magazine TAKE TEN! Its card made in ten minutes... It take me a half hour just to decide on the paper to use.... But I still love it! ~Linda

My husband always said "you spent these time in the craft room just making one card?" ya, so I am like you, takes forever to come up with one card!

This is an amazing card! I love the distressed and vintage feel. All the elements work so well together. The ruffled ribbon totally works on this and I never would have thought to use it.

I know exactly what you mean about quick cards... I always take ages because the idea I have in my head never works out when it meets the paper.

Thanks for the Polish lesson. :) I'll have to share with my hubby. I was told that "Gorka" (my last name) means "little hill" in Polish. Just thought I would share that trivia with you. :)

Have a fantastic day!
