Hello Peeps!
Hope you had a good weekend!
Just wanted to pop here quickly to let you know about this week's Sentimental Challenge ;) This week's theme is "childhood". It's up to you how you interpret it as long as you remember to include a sentiment!
I needed to make a birthday card for my niece (the one on the picture on the fluffy lavender heart). OMG, I really struggled with this one as I am rubbish at children's cards... I also really wanted to incorporate this week's theme...and as a result is ran disgracefully late for the challenge! I know, shame on me! Oh well...
So here's my card. I wanted to take myself back to the days when I used to believe in fairies...oh those were the days! :) Having said that, my DH and I believe there are fairies in our house, especially when the washing up seems to get secretly done...lol ;) So anyway, I wanted to try and bring that slighlty magical and sparkly feeling back...
The fairy is a digital stamp, can't remember where I got it from, coloured with brush markers and highlighted with glitter glues, accompanied by some traditional hand stamping and my fav distress inks ;).
It's a gatefold card (hence entering JUGS #59) tied up with a ribbon with "happy birthday" wording on it. I used it as an embellie and a sentiment at the same time, how's that for multitasking lol ;). Also entering Stamp Something - Nov Somehing digi.
Thanks for looking and your sweet comments ;) xxx.
