Sentimental Colour Challenge #39 and Gatwick airport urgent update!

Time for another Sentimental Sundays challenge ;)

The prize for this challenge will be four idividual sentiment sets from the Raindrop Echo Designs Whimsy Stamps Digital Collection and a custom watermark/signature set from the Custom Designs at Whimsy Stamps.

This week we have a colour challenge (don't forget to include a sentiment!)
And here's my creation. I call it a "garden riot" as it came out somehow crazy looking, I think I might have gone with the embellies just a touch too far ha ha ha lol ;))). I am planning to give it to my Mum for her birthday soon, she loves flowers so I think it will be ok ;).

The papers I used are the Mariposa stack by DCWV. I just fell in love with them! Sue mentioned lately that she thinks I love butterflies, and I think she is absolutely right! They are full of glittered butterflies, what a whimsical set of papers that is, just gorgeous and dreamy....;))

Again, I couldn't resist to incorporate a few sequins ;) And the rolled tube thinggies are made from scraps of patterned paper, it's a good way of using the left over stash ;).

I struggled a bit with the Handsome Hunter, the colour I mean of course ;) So I just stamped a few flourishes and the sentiment with the closest colour of ink that I could find in my stash. The scalloped circle was cut using Nestabilities die, then embossed with TH Texture Fades and distressed with a green distress ink. To finish I added a few of those cute punched butterflies ;)

And for those who have been closely following the Gatwick story,  I have some urgent update! In the last post I forgot to tell you that my boss's favourite terminal at Gatwick was the South Terminal. And the other day, immediately after walking into the office, the boss told us some devastating news... It's not the South Terminal, it's the North one!

As soon as you have a look at the picture below, you'll see why we were completely heart broken....

The writing says "Many happy returns (50) Gatwick South Terminal"...

This Gary Gatwick teddy bear was made to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the opening of the South Terminal at Gatwick. We were so excited when we found it on internet, as we thought there was no better pressie for my boss! What were the chances to find something so perfectly connected to the Gatwick story, story that the entire end of our office lived with for the past couple of weeks??! And then this devastating news, that it was a wrong terminal.... ha ha ha! We had such a good giggle during the presentation, this all just added another funny aspect to the whole thing!

Well, I hope you can join us for this week's challenge and don't forget to check the fabulous creations the Team have created. It's amazing how different are the interpretations of this week's colour challenge!

Hope you have a lovely Sunday and thank you so much for all your magical comments!
