Yes, I am still in the "winged" mood, Sentimental Sundays has got wings, too!!!! If you missed my yesterday's post with the flying clock, please click here ;)
This week we'd like you to create something that has wings, butterflies, birds, planes or flying clocks, whatever you like but don't forget to include a sentiment!
And that because at Sentimental Sundays we looooove sentiments. Firstly, there is a fabulous free set of digital sentiments for grabs here. Then the lucky winner will receive four INDIVIDUAL sentiment sets from the Raindrop Echo Designs Whimsy Stamps Digital Collection AND a custom watermark/signature set from the Custom Designs at Whimsy Stamps.
Here's what I created:
I used Fancy Flourishes and Laura Ashley stamps (which are one of my oldest stamps), stamped with StazOn inks and acrylic paints. The background paper is a music sheet softened with layers of black, white and cream acrylic paint dabbed through a sequin waste.
I was recently inspired by Sarah's altered folder so I added some layers of lace that were decorated with pearls and another colour of those new sequins my lovely hubby recently got for me. I also added some cut out flowers from my perfume box ;).
The sentiment is of course by Raindrop Echo, it was printed on Tim Holtz shabby chic paper and stamped with Laura Ashley flowers.
The butterfly was cut using Slice basic design 2, stamped and clear embossed. I also added some more of those cool sequins to the body of this winged creature ;)
I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! Hope you can join us for this challenge and make sure to check what my DT Sisters have created, they are such a talented bunch!
