Spring is in the (Parisian) air - Fashionable Stamping Challenges #18

Re-edited: Wooo hooo!!! I've won the March challenge at Happy Daze!!! Super exciting or what??? lol ;)

And my card has also been voted a Ginger Gem at Gingersnap Creations!!! Yay!!!

It's me again!

I've got to confess - I really missed blogging. But I've spent this "time off" wisely - I will have some new things to share with you soon, so watch this space!

There is something really rewarding about sharing inspiration, techniques and stories behind my projects. For me it means letting people into a "secret" part of my soul and heart, a part that I would not normally have the courage to share.

Even more rewarding, if my project inspires someone to make art and puts a smile on their face. I hope I can make you smile with what I am going to share with you today ;).

Here is my DT card for today's Fashionable Stamping Challenge

On Friday Shirley challenged you to guess what the new challenge will be about ;). Well, if you guessed the theme "Spring is in the air" then you were right!

The background for my card was created using a printed tissue paper, then dry brushed with matt emulsion paint for a shabby chic look. The gorgeous foreground Paris in the Spring time stamp is by Stampendous - I just simply adore this stamp! I was really fortunate to win it from the Stampman challenge ;). The background panel and the insert were flourished with the Stempelglede swirl corner stamp.

The lovely Cameo Lady die is by Marianne's Designs (Lord and Lady) which I have been really lucky to win from Marianne's Designs Twitter giveaway ;). I am one lucky girl, aren't I? :))).

The flowers on the tissue and the stamp were highlighted with Inktense pencils. And as Spring for me means flowers, I threw in a generous handful of flowers and fresh green leaves. The flowers were made using my fave Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die from book pages and music sheet and coloured with distress inks

This project reminded me of the super romantic trip to Paris my DH took me some time ago... Here are a couple of lovely piccies... they speak more about how lovely the trip was that I could ever explain myself ;).

Our generous sponsor Marina from Cottage Crafts again has a lovely prize for the lucky winner. Please visit her shop to browse through some lovely, lovely goodies!

What do you have to do to win? Well, you must join our challenge! lol ;) Create a project that just "screams" Spring, throw in an array of spring flowers, bees, birds, yummy fresh colours - whatever Spring means to you. Just remember, traditional stamping only please! And if you're looking for some stunning inspiration, have a look here to see what the lovely Fashionettes prepared for you this time!

As for me, I'd love to know what blogging means to you? And I hope I managed to inspire you and that your enjoyed getting to know more about those secret parts of my heart ;).

And I noticed that I am only one follower away from the magical number of 200! A BIG thank you to all my followers and I can't wait to see who's going to be my 200th one! Is it going to be you? ;).

Thank you for visiting and have a lovely Sunday!

Big hugs

Blogging means several things to me. One, an avenue to friendships with fellow artists around the world and also, a means of educating myself through the gracious sharing others freely offer up. Simply stunning! I am impressed. I especially enjoy the way you've used the high and low tones, including black. Your sense of contrast is impeccable, the design concept behind what you've created is sound, and you've not stinted on the details. Bravo! Gorgeous!
