This week at Polka Doodles we'd like you to create a project with a big number on it ;). It can be a BIG birthday or anniversary card or you can do what I did - I blew my numbers up to a proper BIG XL size as well as having a 4 digit figure as well ;).
For this challenge I decided to alter a couple of picture frames for my two adorable nieces. I haven't seen them since October and I really miss them loads. They've recently moved and I thought these frames would make a great house warming present for them. Hopefully they will keep those frames for years to come and maybe one day they will be remembering fondly what they looked like back in 2012 ;).
The papers are a mixture of Sugarplum Daisy, Candy Doodles and Sundae of Seasons CDs and the numbers are from the Sugar Birdies CD. The gorgeous die cuts are from Marianne's Designs CR1202 and LR 0141.
All sides of the frames were distressed with sand paper for a shabby chic look and I added some sparkly accents as the girls love the sparkles ;).
Awww... I'm lovin' those cute little birdies!
The picket fence was made from some old canvas stretchers and a couple of wooden coffee stirrers ;). They were painted with matt emulsion paint.
They are so adorable, don't you think??? Yes, the girls are cute, too! LOL ;))).
I hope the girls will like these frames ;).
If my project hasn't inspired you enough to join the challenge then head over to the challenge blog and our facebook group for more of the fabulous inspiration!
Have a lovely Easter weekend!!!!
Big hugs
