Pack your bag, we're taking you on a journey... - Fashionable Stamping Challenges #21

Re-edited: Yaaaaay! My vintage bunting has been chosen as one of the Top Picks in the Paper Crafting Journey challenge #8!!! ;-))))

...around the Cities of the World ;-).

Our fabulous Team of Stamping Fashionettes is taking you all around the Globe... visit their gorgeous creations and be inspired!

Join our creative journey but please remember, we have a passion for traditional stamping so your project must feature it in its full glory - no digi stamps allowed!

For those brave crafty travellers our lovely Marina from Cottage Crafts again prepared a winning prize!

Well, I'm taking you to one of the most majestic cities in the world - London, UK!

Here's a lovely photo from the Cupcake Craft challenge that I used as my inspiration:

I've made a London themed bunting ;-). I started of with card recycled from a ready meal box, which was die cut with Spellbinders bunting dies - my recent purchase at Ally Pally

The panels were decoupaged with printed serviettes - my favourite technique at the moment. TOP TIP: Printed dinner napkins/serviettes are perfect for decoupage and are relatively inexpensive. Keep your eyes wide open, in shops, restaurants, friends' homes... you never know - you might spot a real beauty there!

I found the Union Jack serviettes in Tesco and the  Queen's guards were picked up in a garden centre :-).

The stamps are a collection of Artistic Outpost (which I bought from Happy Daze), Crafty Individuals and Tim Holtz stamps. The stamped panels were distressed with coffee splatters, distress inks and lots of wrinkling.

The bunting panels were then decoupaged with little flowers which I cut out from printed serviettes. Then I finished it all with a layer of decoupage medium and the bunting was ready for display!

There you are - my second project celebrating all things British and the Queen's Diamond Jubilee! And it's to you liking and you'd like to be its proud owner - it is now available in my Etsy shop :-)

And in case you missed my yesterday's post - click here to find out about my new initiative - Blog Candy Cauldron.

Thanks for visiting and your sweet comments :-). Happy Sunday everyone!

Big hugs
