Just a quick post from me today as I am really busy trying to catch up on various things, including crafting (oh yeah!) before I go on holiday in less than 3 weeks... Now, I wasn't panicking before but seeing how little time I've got left before my hols - I am definitely panicking now! lol ;)
A while ago I promised to share the card I made for my FIL for Father's Day. So here it is and as it happens it fits the new monthly challenge on Stampendous blog :)). The theme for the whole month of July is Citrus.
I wanted my card to truly focus on this beautiful Agapanthus Cluster stamp from Stampendous so I kept it really simple. I absolutely ADORE this stamp (in case I haven't mentioned it before - I absolutely ADORE all Stampendous stamps!!!). This stamp reminds me of my wedding bouquet which had lots of Agapanthus flowers in it :).
The background was created by inking a white card with Shabby Shutters distress ink, using a blending tool. Then I inked it through a brick background and sprinkled it with some water splatters.
Finally I stamped the Agapanthus florals in the same ink and overstamped again - but this time embossing it with a white embossing powder.
If you love this stamp as much as I do, why don't you treat yourself??? Click on the piccie below and I will take you right where you can get it with a click of a button lol!
Today we also have a new challenge at the Fashionable Stamping Challenges and the new theme is Oriental. Sadly I haven't got a project for this theme but if you hop over to the challenge blog you will be able to see all the breath taking samples created by the rest of the Fashionettes!
I've been also thinking of treating my lovely blog friends with some sweet summer candy - what do you think about this idea??? :-)))
Thank you for your visit and for your sweet comments! Happy Sunday!
Big hugs
