Whole lotta Stampendoulicious fun - October release blog hop!

First of all, a very special thank you for all your wonderful comments recently. I can't even explain how happy you make me with every single comment... I am truly blessed with wonderful blogging friends! Also my warmest welcome to my new followers - I hope you will enjoy being under my creative spell :)).

Welcome to our great Reveal Week finale! Throughout the week the whole Stampendous team were showing off the new stamp designs from the October release. All the new gorgeousness is now available in What's New section on the Stampendous website and on its way to your local craft store or online retailer!

Today to celebrate this new release we have a fab blog hop for you full of beautiful inspirational projects, and you never know, there may be some Stampendoulicious surprises lurking here and there (ps. you will need a US address!), so keep hopping! Here are the links for you:

My project is an altered papier mache jewellery box. I first painted it with acrylic paints, rubbing some colour off here and there, for an aged look. Then I stamped the beautiful flowers from Cling Violets and Jumbo Spring Bouquet with Coffee Archival. The flowers were then coloured with Inktense pencils, with white colour accents added using acrylic paint.

I highlighted the edges with gold acrylic paint. I love using gold paint for this, if gives the object some much more hmmm... oomph without 'taking over' from the rest of the design.

The top of the box was covered with printed paper napkin and then Fran-taged with Aged Ochre and Aged Wine embossing enamels. If you've never tried decorating a box with Fran-tage enamels, you must try it! The coverage is great and the textured feel with an added sparkle looks so lush! You might need to try a couple of layers but that's ok, especially if you are using different powders. You can even Fran-tage the hinges and closing clasps :).

To decorate the top I added so cheese cloth, a fancy ribbon and a handful of flowers :).

I hope you like my Saturday floral inspiration. And if you haven't yet, why don't you join our October Fancy Florals challenge? And if you have any Jumbo flowers, we would LOOOOOVE to see them on your challenge entry! You can join directly by clicking the sweet kitty button below!

Thank you for your sweet comments and I'm off to hop around to see what everyone's been up to!

Big hugs

like fristine says jaw dropping. Thanks so much for thinking off the paper and onto this box. Your inspiration on how stamping can be transferred onto a project is wonderful. I think i read a napkin on the top lid of the box, well i was just introducted to that also, great ideal. the mix of embellishments on the lid and distressing of the hindge is perfect.
