Re-edited: Thank you so much lovely Ladies at The Shabby Tea Room for the Honourable Mention for my card! :)
Time for another play at Fashionable Stamping Challenges!
And this time the theme is totally To Die For - quite literally! I am 'the culprit' behind this challenge, so let's get crafting - shall we? :)
I've recently made a baby boy card for a friend at work - you can see it here. Or for her sister, who's expecting the baby, to be most precise. My friend's mum liked it so much that she wanted me to make another one for her, too :).
As I didn't want the cards to look too similar I decided to steer away from my previous white/cream and blue colour palette.
And this is what I created!
I started by cutting my card base, cardstock matts and patterned paper panels to size. Then using a Coffee Archival ink and Pumpkin StazOn I stamped the lovely images from the Hampton Art Word Collage Borders and the flourishes from the Stampendous Excelsis Deo set all around the background panel. I really love these stamps.
The front panel of the card was decorated with ornate corners and lots of die cut beauties. The Baby word is a Marianne's Design die LR0217 and the accents on the mount were cut from Double Frame LR0141. The rose was made from Spellbinders Spiral Blossom One die and the leaves were cut using the Foliage die.
I also made a box for the card with I decorated with more die cuts (yay!). The pram is from Marianne's again LR0218 and the centre panel is from Tim Holtz Styled Labels die.
And I couldn't leave the card un-Fran-taged, could I? lol ;). Of course I couldn't! So I added some final touches with the encrusted jewel technique and for that I used Bronzed Mica Fragments, Aged Silver, Aged Gold & Aged Ochre Embossing Enamels and Champagne Crushed Glass Glitter - all from Stampendous.
Well, I hope I've inspired you to dust off your lovely (perhaps forgotten?) die cuts and all the Fashionettes are really looking forward to seeing your To Die For entries! And if you need more inspiration be sure to check all the beautiful projects from my DT Sisters!
Thanks for visiting and have a lovely Sunday!
Big hugs
