Stampendoulicious Chalk - Stampendous and DecoArt Team Up!

This week we are hosting a mega-cool truly international event! All friends at StampendousDecoArtPrinceton Brushes, and inspired by Willow Wolfe are joining to show what you can do with stamps and acrylic paint. You'll be amazed how great these two craft items work together to make amazing things!

Of course, there are prizes! DecoArt is sending three sets of their Media Fluid Acrylics, Princeton Artist Brushes, through Willow Wolfe, is supplying a Select Brush Set and a Catalyst Wedge, and Stampendous will be adding a Stampendous Creative Palette. What a fantastic selection of  crafty goodness!

Visit each blog, leave a comment! • Like  StampendousDecoArtPrinceton Artist Brushes and inspired by Willow Wolfe on Facebook! • We've also got a Pinterest Board started!

2014_06_decoart

Please repin our projects on to your boards and be sure to tag us when you do (#Stampendous, #DecoArt, #PrincetonArtistBrushes, #byWillowWolfe). We have a few bonus goodies hanging around in Stampendous HQ office for some lucky people who SHARE our Facebook posts and Pinterest Pins!

Your comments on the participating designers' blogs are your entry into the drawing. We'll randomly choose three blog posts from all the designer posts this week and then choose a winner from each to receive a prize package.

We'll draw three winners with U.S. Mailing Addresses. BUT because we have so many international players this time, DecoArt has agreed to mail out three nice sample packages to international commenters as well - so make sure to hop and comment!

Now onto my project today. I've altered an old frame I found in a charity shop and created a coffee themed wall art for my living room.

Here is the picture 'before':

And 'after':

I disassembled the nautical insert (and kept it for another project) and painted the wooden backing with Americana Chalkboard Paint. Then I added some stamping and heat embossed it with White Detail Embossing Powder. The stamps I used were: Perfectly Clear Elegant Borders, Coffee Talk and cling Kettle On.

Then I painted the frame with Americana Decor Chalky Finish paint in Lace and distressed it in place with sanding paper.

My hubby and I are both big coffee addicts and this chalkboard sign sums it all up for us:

Keep Calm
And Put The Kettle On

Keep Calm
And Pour Me Another Cup

Forget Calm
I'm Having Another Cup

Happiness Is a Good Cup Of COFFEE
Shared With a Friend

OK, ready for your trip around the world? Let's get hoppin!

Claudia Neubacher (from Vienna, Austria)
Kristine Reynolds (from Moorpark, CA, USA)
Iliane de Fockert (Elly) (from Niedersachsen, Germany)
Julia Stratford-Wright (near London, UK)
Asia King (from Oxford, England) - that's me!
Jessa Plant (from Phoenix, AZ, USA)
Kathi Rerek (from New Jersey, USA)

Thanks for stopping by and for all your lovely comments!

Big crafty hugs

First you have to 'see' your creation before you can make it. I had no idea where you were going with the nautical design, but this is awesome! Glad you are keeping the first parts to create something else, too!!

I like the "after-picture" a lot more than the "before-picture"
