Hello Friends! First of all a big 'thank you' to everyone who's visited and left such kind comments my 'Be More (Steampunk) Dog' layout. It's really heart warming to know that you haven't given up on me :), despite my sporadic blog visits at the moment. Thank you from the bottom of my heart...
Today over at Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L's blog I am sharing this lovely Roses of Friendship card. I would love it, if you could find a spare moment to check out all the details :). The inspiration for my card was my auntie's beautiful cottage garden and this lovely photo from the Shabby Tea Room's Challenge this week:
This card was a bit of an experiment with the Adhesive Sheets 6x12", Gilded Mica Fragments and Spellbinders Grateful Lattice die which I used to create my shimmery trellis background. I just love how the Wild Roses seem to be climbing up the golden trellis.
The vintage charm and frame embellishments are from the Works. The seam binding ribbon was died with distress markers using a technique I saw on Tammy Tutterow's blog.
The papers I used are called Vintage Floral and were free with the February 2015 issue of Making Cards Magazine. The 'cherish precious friendship' words were cut out from an old packaging from Prima flowers. They are printed on a clear acetate and I found that Adhesive Sheets are fantastic for adhering transparencies. You get a strong, even, edge to edge coverage - so no messy excess glue showing anywhere :).
I had no idea how this card would turn out. Because of my recent health troubles and the bucket-loads of pain killers I have to take, my creative planning seems to abandon me quite often. But I am quite pleased with the result here. Hope you like it too! x

I hope you are feeling better real soon Joanna. The colours on this are so perfect and the shimmery trellis - well, I love it! This comes across as a gentle and soothing card, so I am guessing it must have been very therapeutic for you while making it.

Oh Joanna
Your beautiful card just 'takes my breath away'.
All the intricate details don't go unnoticed on me as I was into scrapbooking years ago too.
I'm so sorry you're still not feeling on top of the world... you're doing amazing things even if you feel that you're not 'in the zone' - I think you are!!!
Thank you for visiting my blog and letting me know my parcel arrived - I had marked it in my diary for the 13/14th to be safe in your hands!
I'm following you now, let's stay in touch.
Much love

Long time since hopping onto here and I have had a mooch at all I have missed. Love the doggy page and the Steampunk Dramatic Society block is amazing.

This is so pretty and sparkly ... Lovely flowers and I love all the little details ... Have a lovely Sunday!
So pretty! Love all the golden shimmer. Thanks so much for playing along with us over at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge this week :)
This has so many gorgeous layers! And I love how you've offset the layers so each one peeks through. The top layer has so many details and I love how you made the white words overlap the lattice. The metallic touches give it such an elegant feel and it really is striking. Beautiful to look at and I'm so glad you shared your skills with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
Hope your health issues are resolved soon and you feel much better.
This is absolutely amazing! I ADORE that glitzy trellis which works so beautifully with the delicate flowers and touches of bling. Thank you so much for joining us at Frilly and Funkie. Jenny x
