Re-edited: Wooo hooo! The CCCB spotlight is shining on me again! :)))) And I have also been chosen a Spotlight Artist at Sweet Stampin' Challenge Blog #46 ;)))!
Autumn has finally arrived at the Sentimental Sundays and I may have already mentioned that I looooove Autumn! ;) To join in the fun you just need to create an Autumnal project with a sentiment and…that’s it! You can use your own sentiment or choose one of Ann’s beautiful sentiments at Whimsy Stamps. Or use one of the Sentimental Sunday’s free sentiments – the possibilities are endless lol!

I have recently been quite mesmerised by some projects I’ve seen here and there….Just to give you an idea what I am talking about….;)
Yes, that’s right, I fell in love with cuckoo clocks! I have recently seen a project in the Craft Stamper by Morag Cutts, it has really stolen my heart, not to mention giving lots of inspiration. So below is my shy attempt to put a spell to capture Autumn and make time stop for a moment for me…;).
I used the template that you can download for free from here.
My little clock is full of my favorite swirls embossed with a copper embossing powder, stenciled and coloured with distress inks then generously sprayed with Red Pepper Colourwash and gold shimmer mist. All edges have also been sponged with a gold acrylic paint. The clock stamp is by Tattered Angels. I was looking for the right clock face stamp for a long time, not too big, not too small, with pretty hour numbers etc and I finally found it at the Stamp Attic ;) Worth havng a look there, Wendy has got everything! And even if she doesn’t, she’ll trace it for you!
The roof has been embellished with the MS doily punch and that beautiful sentiment is from Clocks 1 set by PaperArtsy.
The base is decorated with a vintage lace and the cutest ever birdie is by 7Gypsies. All sprinkled with a layers of stamped leaves, paper shop bought and handmade organza flowers.
The back is stamped with the gears from Clocks 5 set. I like the way the embossing powder somehow made its way to the stamped gears and it all looks like it’s blending together ;)
My pendulum is a charm made from the chain and beads… After a few final touches with Lord Tim’s idea-ology thingies the piece was complete…
And I know, I know, that the cuckoo door in normal circumstances would interfere with the clock's mechanism but who says art has to be mechanically perfect??? LOL ;P
I made this as a birthday present for my friend but please don’t tell her yet, because I still haven’t decided whether I am emotionally ready to part with my cuckoo clock…;)
Happy Sunday everyone, enjoy every hour, minute and second of it! Thanks for stopping by ;).
