Actually, I hope it's beautiful, as at the time I am scheduling this post the weather people are suggesting the snow is on the way! Brrr!
I would like to send a warm welcome to my newest followers - and my heartfelt thanks for joining in my creative adventures.
And I'd also like to say 'thank you' for bearing with me lately. I'm so busy with redecorating at home that I haven't had time to do my blog visits and I really miss seeing your beautiful work. But I hope to catch up on all the good stuff soon! And in case you've missed my last post, I'm going to teach a Fran-tage workshop at Sparkle Dreams in Swindon on May 17th. I hope you can join our creative play. You can find all the details HERE.
Today over at Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L's blog I am sharing a tutorial for this gift set. I'd really appreciate it if you visited the post here.
The gift set includes a card and a box to go with it. I made it as a birthday present for my friend's daughter who absolutely adores elephants. I had to think quite long and hard how to capture this and finally decided on creating a warm Serengeti scene.
I had a jolly good play with my lovely adhesives, stamps, Fran-tage and inks. The whole set took ages to complete but I was quite happy with the final result. And the best thing is the recipient really loved her gift - so I felt my job was well done! lol :)
Do check out the steps I took for this project and below I've included the full list of supplies for ease of reference.
Supplies: E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips – Refillable, E-Z Dots® Repositionable, Kraft Creative Photo Corners, Crafty Power Tape, black Thin 3D Foam Squares, 3D Foam Pennants, DODZ™ – 3D, 4×6″ Adhesive Sheets, 3D Foam Squares – White, Small, Keepsake Envelopes, 3D Foam Leaves.
Other: Serengeti, Coffee Mug & Vintage Lowercase clear stamps, cling Crowscape, Fran-tage Taupe Colour Fragments, Copper Micro Glitter (all Stampendous);
Cardstock and papers (Ambrosia collection) - Bazzill Basics; Distress Inks various colours (Ranger Ink); crinkly ribbon (May Arts); flowers (Prima Marketing).
Thank you for popping in today and I hope you have a super creative weekend!
Big crafty hugs

What a beautiful card and box! I haven't been around to visit in a while. I like the look of your blog.
Have fun re-decorating your home. I always enjoy doing that sort of thing.
Hugs,

Two wonderful projects!
Perfect warm colours for a Serengeti scene Joanna. It never fails to amaze me how you take so many different mediums and textures and create a fabulous piece of artwork. If I tried the same I know for sure the bin would play it's part.
Thanks so much for joining in my blog celebrations with your beautiful creation.
