Blog Hop With a Difference And Some Exciting News

Hello Friends! I hope you had a great weekend. .

My post today is going to be a little bit different - as it's part of a Blog Hop With a Difference :). I have been invited to the hop by my blogging friend Joanna Krogulec who is my ultimate handmade flowers Guru :). Her work is truly magical. If you're not following her blog already then you are definitely missing a real treat.

I haven't met many of my crafty fiends in real life but I have been fortunate enough to meet Asia in person (yes, she's Polish, too, so I can use the abbreviation of her name Joanna which is Asia, just like mine! lol). We met at Ally Pally show a couple of years ago.

The aim of the hop is to answer a few questions about my-creative-self so here it goes.

1. What am I working on?

At the moment I am keeping myself busy with quite a few different things.

I am currently working on samples for the new October release of Stampendous stamps (oh my, they are sooooo delicious!!!). Unfortunately I cannot share these yet until they are officially released :).

I am also working on a few furniture make-over projects as part of our redecoration 'programme' at home. We've already done the living room (you can see a glimpse of it in my post here), we've refreshing the hall at the moment and next we will be tackling the bedrooms upstairs.

These furniture make-overs are double exciting for me. Not only because I am injecting some creative thoughts into my everyday objects but also for another reason, which brings me to my exciting news!

I am really happy and excited and overjoyed and stuff to announce that I have been become part of the DecoArt's Bloggers' Network! Yaaaay! I really can't wait to play with DecoArt's paints and I promise to share some projects soon!

2. How does my work differ from others of its genre?

Hmm. This is a difficult question to answer. I am getting better at describing my own style lol but I'm not sure how to describe if/how my work is different... Well, if you are able to help me out here, your suggestions would be appreciated! lol

3. Why do I write/create what I do?

I've been crafting 'officially' for (only) five years but I think I've probably gone past the milestone of 'why I craft' question. Crafting has become my life, my passion, my daily routine, like breathing or eating. I simply cannot live or function without it. So to put it simply, if I stopped crafting, the result would be the same as if I ran out of air...:)

4. How does my creating process work?

I confess. I craft 24/7. Unless my mojo decides to go AWOL. If I'm not actually working in my craft room, I am constantly thinking of a next project, with ideas brewing in my head while I'm sleeping, having a shower or having an afternoon coffee (and most likely a biscuit to go with it). I draw inspiration from the strangest or most simple of things. And I try to incorporate them in my work. One of my biggest inspirations is my garden at home. It's quite small but full of magic :).

My papercrafting projects always take ages to complete. If you follow my blog regularly, you'll know that CAS is not my forté :). I take a great pride as well pleasure in working on the smallest of details, I don't like rushing my creative muse and sometimes I have to leave my work for a couple of days to 'cure and mature'.

My creative life has unprecedentedly changed since I discovered Pinterest. For me it's the best invention since electricity and the Internet itself lol. My Pinterest boards are a good reflection of what's going on in my head ha ha ha!

Thanks to Pinterest and the wealth of inspiration you can find there, nothing is safe in my home. I blamed Pinterest when I 'planted' an old chair in my border, it was one of the 'cool' ideas I stumbled upon. Then I added a wire bowl on top of it and created a planter, which looks different each year. This summer I have installed a fairy garden in it... Even I was surprised to see that you can fit a whole village on one chair! lol.

OK, that's enough about me now. It's time to invite the next blogger to play and my 'tagee' is Lisa from Adventures in Paperland. On Lisa's blog you will find heaps of papercrafting inspiration from beautiful shabby/vintagey mini albums to whimsical mixed media journal pieces. Over to you, hun!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful week!

Big crafty hugs
