I am slowly getting back into the blogging routine so hopefully you will hear from me much more often, now :).
And so I'm back today with a really exciting (for me) offering :). I have been invited to 'guest' over at Country View Challenges blog to play along with their September challenge which is Numbers.
This lovely invitation and privilege came to me after my Cherish Yesterday card received their DT's special mention from the June's challenge. Yaaaay! Thank you so much to Chris and the Team xx.
My project today is a wedding card I made a special couple who celebrated their Big Day in a beautiful setting of Château de Javarzay in Chef-Boutonne in France. As it happened it was also my birthday on the same day - what a way to celebrate! :)
The main focus of my card is this fab vintage wedding certificate from the BazzillBasicsPaper Heritage collection. I hand-written the details & the wedding date to personalise the card for the happy couple :).
The area near Chef-Boutonne is known for its sunflower fields so there was no surprise that these gorgeous blooms were chosen as the flowers of the wedding. And no surprise that they also sneaked into my design, too :). I stamped the flowers, coloured them with watercolour pencils and set them in a layer of Glossy Accents to make them stand out more.
I also added some white rub-ons to reinforce the 'Numbers' theme of the CVC challenge.
Supplies:
Stampendous cling Sunflower Ladybug and Vintage Contract stamps
Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L: Crafty Power Tape, Thin 3D Foam Squares Mix - White
Faber-Castell Aquarelle pencils
Maya Road Calendar white Rub-Ons
Papers: BazzillBasicsPaper (Heritage), Echo Park
Sepia Archival Ink, Tea Dye Distress Ink, Glossy Accents
Sakura Clear Star pen
May Arts ribbon
If you love sunflowers as much as I do, keep your eyes peeled! On Monday I will be sharing a tutorial for a scrapbook layout I made as a keepsake from the weeding. And a whole 'field' of sunflowers will be guaranteed!
Thank you again Chris and the Team for the invitation to play along! xx
I hope I have inspired you all to play in the Numbers challenge - be sure to also check out the fabulous inspiration pieces from the super talented DT which are sure to get your creative juices flowing!
Thank you so much for visiting today and for all your lovely comments! If this is your first time here, make yourself at home and have a look around my blog :).
Big crafty hugs and have a wonderful weekend!
