Spellbinder's contest in now closed but there is still time to enter our May Arts blog hop - and you really don't want to miss these amazinglicious prices! Roses Of Friendship With A Vintage Charm

Hello Friends! First of all a big 'thank you' to everyone who's visited and left such kind comments my 'Be More (Steampunk) Dog' layout. It's really heart warming to know that you haven't given up on me :), despite my sporadic blog visits at the moment. Thank you from the bottom of my heart...

Today over at Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L's blog I am sharing this lovely Roses of Friendship card. I would love it, if you could find a spare moment to check out all the details :). The inspiration for my card was my auntie's beautiful cottage garden and this lovely photo from the Shabby Tea Room's Challenge this week:

This card was a bit of an experiment with the Adhesive Sheets 6x12"Gilded Mica Fragments and Spellbinders Grateful Lattice die which I used to create my shimmery trellis background. I just love how the Wild Roses seem to be climbing up the golden trellis.

The vintage charm and frame embellishments are from the Works. The seam binding ribbon was died with distress markers using a technique I saw on Tammy Tutterow's blog.

The papers I used are called Vintage Floral and were free with the February 2015 issue of Making Cards Magazine. The 'cherish precious friendship' words were cut out from an old packaging from Prima flowers. They are printed on a clear acetate and I found that Adhesive Sheets are fantastic for adhering transparencies. You get a strong, even, edge to edge coverage - so no messy excess glue showing anywhere :).

I had no idea how this card would turn out. Because of my recent health troubles and the bucket-loads of pain killers I have to take, my creative planning seems to abandon me quite often. But I am quite pleased with the result here. Hope you like it too! x

Supplies:

Adhesive Sheets 6x12", Thin 3D Foam Squares - Mix White, Home & Hobby E-Z Runner® Grand - Permanent Strips, DODZ™ - 3D

Other supplies:

Stampendous: Cling Wild Roses, Friendship Assortment Perfectly Clear stamps, Gilded Mica Fragments; Spellbinders Grateful Lattice die

Core'dinations Tim Holtz Kraft Core Shattered cardstock, patterned papers, Ganache StazOn Mini ink, Liquid Pearls, Inktense pencils, seam binding ribbon

That's all from me for now. Thank you for popping in today. Take care of yourselves and enjoy the weekend!

Hello everyone! A very special welcome to my newest followers (thank you for joining in!) and also a big thank you for your sweet comments on the last post with my Fall Zinnia card with jigsaw puzzle background.

I hope you are enjoying this week's blog team up of the three fantastic companies Stampendous, Dreamweaver and Core'dinations

Today we have a big blog finale but if you have missed the fun earlier this week, be sure to check out these posts:

During this week's long blog collaboration we've been inspiring (and tempting!) you with some of the most essential crafting products - cardstock, stencils and stamps of course. I'm sure you'll agree that no respectable crafty tool box should be be left without them! :)

For a chance to win simply leave some love on the participating blogs throughout the week. The more comments you leave, the bigger your chance of winning.

Here's my offering for today. When I saw this Splats stencil, I immediately thought of the little mess/devastation that my cat Kropek recently made at home (I shall spare you the full details! lol).

Bonjour Kitty stampendous splatter background fall vintage card by Asia King

Before I knew it I was looking through my collection of feline stamps and I found this adorable Bonjour KittyOh là là! The French look with a little beret and a scarf reminded me of street artists on Parisian's Montmartre. One thing led to another and I ended up with a messy feline artist keen to colour outside the lines :-) lol.

Key supplies used:

Dreamweaver: Splats stencil

Adhesives: 3D Foam Pennants, 3D Foam Squares - White, Dodz™ -3D,
E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips

Papers: 7Dots Studio Dreamer, Ribbon: May Arts

How to make this card:
1. Prepare your kraft card blank
2. Cut a panel from patterned paper, slightly smaller than the card blank.
3. Ink and distress the edges. Make a small tear along the bottom right edge.
4. Tuck in a small piece of sanded Paprika card under the tear. Adhere the whole panel to the card.
5. Emboss a small piece of Paprika card the the brick folder and sand the raised edges. Use it to create a small banner from 3D Foam Pennants and an additional background panel.
6. Ink the Kitty stamp with PITT pens and stamp onto white card. Colour the image in with Inktense pencils. Stamp the image again on a Post-It note and fussy cut (to create a mask).

7. For the background, mask the Kitty and sponge PanPastels and Distress Inks through the Splatter stencil.
8. Stamp the Wired circle off the edges and around the Kitty.
9. Add shading with chalks and pencils. Add small splatters with watered down black watercolour paint.
10. Trim the stamped panel to size, distress the edges with ink and seal the image with hair spray.
11. Dab some Boss Gloss in bottom right corner, sprinkle with Aged Scarlet and heat emboss.
12. Mat the image with Coconut Cream and French Roast card. Adhere to the card base.
13. Ink the sentiment with PITT pens and stamp onto patterned paper. Sponge splatters through the stencil and heat emboss with Aged Scarlet (as in step 11). Trim to size and mat with French Roast card. Adhere with 3d Foam Squares.

Collaboration Bonanza - Stampendous, Dreamweaver and Core'dinations!

Hello Friends! Thank you for all your lovely visits and comments on my yesterday's post with the Dreams Do Come True card

In case you missed it, I shared an easy and fun glitter tiles background technique with lovely Stampendous glitters and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L's foam squares.

As promised I'm back today playing with super cool crafty peeps from Stampendous, Dreamweaver and Core'dinations

During this week's long blog collaboration we will be inspiring (and tempting!) you with some of the most essential craft products - cardstock, stencils and stamps of course. No respectable crafty tool box should be without them! :)

Now, we couldn't just tempt you with these awesome products without a little giveaway prize, could we? Nah, that would be unkind! So of course we have one. Or two. Or even three! Here's what you might win:

For a chance to win simply leave some love on the participating blogs - the more comments you leave, the bigger your chance of winning. So sit back, grab a cuppa and prepare yourself to be inspired!

My offering for today is this autumnal card. As you are hopping along you'll see that many projects are winter/Christmas related but I simply couldn't get into the 'frosty' vibe yet lol.

The key supplies I used:

Dreamweaver: Puzzle stencil, Translucent Embossing Paste

Adhesives:
E-Z Runner® Permanent Strips - Refillable
3D Foam Squares - Black, Regular

To make this card:
1. Prepare your kraft card blank.
2. Cut a background mat from French Roast card, lightly sand and distress. Adhere to the base.
3. Cut a panel from patterned paper, distress and adhere to the base at an angle.
4. Partially spread the embossing paste onto Sun Coral card through Puzzle stencil. Sprinkle with Aged Ochre and Metallic Seasonings powders. Heat emboss.
5. Add some shading with distress inks to highlight the pattern. Distress with paper distressing tool. Add a small tear in the top left edge.
6. Stamp 4 Zinnias onto Coconut Cream card. Colour in with pencils and shimmer watercolour paints. Cut them out.
7. Emboss and shape the petals with a ball tool.
8. Create one double layered flower, leave one full flower and cut the third bloom in half. Make a single dab with Boss Gloss in the centres, add Mahogany powder and heat emboss.
9. Create the main blooms cluster. Tuck one of the half blooms under the small tear.
10. Add a hand dyed seam binding ribbon and adhere the panel to the rest of the card.
11. Dab Boss Gloss over some jigsaw puzzle pieces and sprinkle with Aged Scarlet powder - heat emboss. Add to the card.
12. Finish the card with cosmic shimmer mist, half pearls and Liquid Pearls.

That's all from me - now it's time to check out who else is playing today!

Make Magic – Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L and Some Odd Girl Blog Hop Day 4

Good morning crafty bloggers and happy Thanksgiving to all!

Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L and Some Odd Girl have been sharing beautiful projects on their blogs Monday through Friday this week. If you follow along and comment on each of the posts along the way, you'll be entered to win some sweet swag from both companies!

There are two happy boxes of adhesives from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L and two $20 gift certificates to the Some Odd Girl shop to be won! Cool, isn't it?

Today I am playing with this magical stamp Fairy Magic and I'm wearing my adhesives on the outside to add lots of magical sparkle.

I've started by stamping the fairy onto cardstock with Black Memento ink. Then I coloured it with SpectrumNoir markers - you can see the steps and marker numbers below.

I die cut the image using a die from the Spellbinders Gold Majesty Circles set. To make the card, I used cardstock from Core'dinations and papers from Crafty Individuals paper book

I also dabbed some Boss Gloss over the Ivory Creative Photo Corners and heat embossed them with Vintage Lilac Embossing Tinsel from Stampendous. On both sides of the card I added butterflies embellished with glitter dots - DODZ™ - 3D and Royal Purple Crushed Glass Glitter.

On the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog today you can see my full tutorial for this card. Below you can see all the adhesives I used:
